These here are some characters from my imagination land. They're the Fallen and the Prodigal. The Fallen (the angel) is an angel that got sick of God not doing anything about all the bad stuff basically, even though if he were to do something about it it would go against things he's said and promises he's made and he wouldn't be a just god anymore.
The Prodigal is a demon that was having second thoughts about the way satan worked, a lot of what he did was unecesarily cruel and didn't help demons in general, so he decided to leave.
Satan punished them both, Fallen because he was an angel and Prodigal because he decided to leave. They were both imprisoned in the same cursed cathedral that satan had set especially,
Welcome to a glimpse of what goes on in my head.
And heres another glimpse. This is the place Satan imprisoned them. As yet i have no designs for this place.
There is a place in the universe that
cannot be travelled to by normal means. It is a bridge between realms, where
one man left and another returned. One to be punished and another redeemed.
This
speaks of the Cathedral of the Undying, a church from an unknown place in the
universe that was swallowed whole by an earthquake after the priest killed a
large number of young girls.
The
priests wife was deadly sick, and did not have long left to live. She had been
holding in for a full year now and despite constant prayer and fasting the Lord
had not healed the priests wife.
The
wife had been dabbling in witchcraft behind the priests back, and the sickness
that ravaged her was one beset by demons. They had been holding her on the
precipice of death for months, mentally torturing the priest all day and night.
The
priest knew about the demons within his wife and could not understand why the
Lord had not yet aided him.
This
made the priest grow to resent the Lord. He began delving into demonology and
magic, at first only to see if there was a cure there, with no intention of
using it. He found it.
Satan
could save his wife from death, but he required a sacrifice. To save the womans
life he asked for the priests life to take as his own. A sacrifice of 13 young girls
to darken the priests heart. He was promised the girls would share the fate of
the wife, and live.
The
priest accepted, not fully knowing the circumstances he had agreed to, and on
one dark still night, he collected the girls and hung them, cutting their hands
and allowing their blood to spill in the atrium of the church. Collecting the
blood he sprinkled it over his wife so as to aid in the spiritual blood
transfusion. He then turned the knife to himself and died alongside his wife.
The
priest was condemned to Hell, and sits there still, forever tortured so that
his wife might live to have a second chance. A poor sacrifice.
Because
of the circumstances the lives of the girls and the wife were no longer
condemned to hell, but neither were they allowed entrance to Heaven. The Cathedral was swallowed by the earth and
dropped into purgatory and the women were set to guard its terrible secret, for
Satan had planned this out from the beginning. The Cathedral was to be a prison
for 2 people who had crossed him. The man that left and the one that returned.
An
angel whos heart had turned sour and was waiting there for Satan to release him
into his fold. It was his punishment for being an angel. The man that left.
The
other is a demon that grew weary of the darkness and yearned for the freedom
and light he’d once lived in. The Lord saw this and kept his mind guarded from
the eyes of Satan, but there were still ways for Satan to see. See the demons
mind he did, and imprisoned him in the Cathedral, for he could not have him in
Hell, but neither would he relinquish him unto Heaven. His punishment for
leaving, the man that returned.
The
Cathedral of the Undying is guarded by the cursed souls of the 13 girls and the
priests wife, to kill any who come near to interfere with Satans decision, whether
they be angels or demons.
